Another title match got added to the Backlash 2020 match card during this week’s episode of WWE RAW. The new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks & SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley will defend their titles in a Triple Threat at the WWE Backlash pay-per-view. They will face The IIconics – Billie Kay and Peyton Royce and Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross at Backlash.

It should be noted that Sasha Banks and Bayley have just won the tag team titles from Bliss & Cross during last Friday’s episode of SmackDown. They were present on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw to celebrate their victory but their appearance wasn’t a pleasant experience courtesy of the IIconics.

They interrupted the cross-brand show-up during the opening segment to announce the title match at Backlash 2020.

This led to the opening contest of the night which was also a triple threat where Charlotte Flair and Asuka teamed against the IIconics duo and the Boss n Hug Connection.

Despite the bragging, Banks and Bayley came up short during the match and couldn’t pick momentums for Backlash. Instead, Asuka put the Asuka Lock submission hold on Billie Kay to get the win and set up the main event of WWE Raw.

Charlotte Flair competed against Asuka in a one-on-one contest on this slot that again saw the presence of the women’s tag team champions Sasha Banks and Bayley. They were giving expert opinion during the match which had to be ended after the IIconics suddenly appeared on the scene.

They dismantled the champions with a blindside attack. After throwing away Banks, Bayley digested a Fall of Grace from the announce desk.
