Becky Lynch is back in the WWE with WWE’s latest bygone pay-per-view event, SummerSlam 2021. Due to her and Brock Lesnar’s return, the show has been a huge hit. Also, the female returnee ended up winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship on that night from Bianca Belair in a record time of just 26 seconds. With that win, she now has a huge target on her back.
As seen on SmackDown following SummerSlam, Bianca Belair was ready to get her rematch with Becky Lynch for the title. Zelina Vega had the same pledge as she interrupted the duo’s conversation. Afterward, Carmella and Liv Morgan also appeared on the show to get a title match opportunity. This eventually set up a Fatal-4-Way Elimination Match for the challenger’s spot.

Despite not winning that Fatal-4-Way on SmackDown, Liv Morgan was all smiles during her interview with Kayla Braxton on the post-show edition of Talking Smack. The former Riott Squad member was excited about the fact that she not only eliminated one former SmackDown Women’s Champion in Carmella but when she also pushed another SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bianca Belair, to her limits.

Liv Morgan focused on Becky Lynch’s title
Liv Morgan may haven’t received an opportunity to square off against Becky Lynch for the Women’s Title but she feels like a winner,
“Honestly, I know I lost, but I feel like a winner. I feel fantastic! Not only did I bring Bianca Belair, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion, 2021 Royal Rumble winner, ESPY winner, but I brought her to the limit. I know no matter what, she is going to remember the day that she was in the ring with me. I have so many tricks up my sleeve, Kayla, that I’m taking this with a lot of gratitude. I honestly feel great!”
While at SummerSlam, Becky Lynch made her long-awaited return to become a five-time champion, at this time last year, she was on maternity leave. This did create a big void in the women’s division. Morgan mentioned that she would now like to follow through a statement that THE MAN told her just before leaving before that hiatus.

“You wanna know a little secret?” Morgan stated. “When Becky left, I gave her a hug goodbye. She whispered in my ear, ‘When I come back, you are going to be champion.’ I’ve thought about that every single day. She’s back, and I’m not champion. But I’m looking so, so, so forward to proving her right. Maybe, not on her timeline, but I’m going to be champion, and I’d love to take it off of Becky Lynch.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)
Morgan may haven’t received a future title shot against Becky Lynch just yet, but she is focused on getting that opportunity, down the road. Many fans do feel that an up and rising talent like Morgan should be pushed into the title picture as she has all the tools to become a champion, one day. Only time will tell whether WWE agrees with this idea or not.
