Since returning to the WWE in early 2022, Ronda Rousey continues to be a regular fixture for the blue brand of the company. Being the women’s champion on Smackdown, she’s one of the poster figures and hence her duties continue to expand. As per the recent updates, the reigning champion has been added to another international WWE live event fixture.
WWE has officially announced Ronda Rousey for the Sunday Stunner house show in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada at the Vidéotron Centre on August 21, 2022. This house show marks the company’s first visit to the city after eight years.

The venue’s official website has been promoting the show as “WWE’s big return” which also features a photo of the former SmackDown Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair. The site also informs that Drew McIntyre will go one-on-one with Quebec’s hometown favorite Sami Zayn alongside Ricochet, Natalya, and Sheamus.
A post on Centre Vidéotron’s Facebook page stated that “Ronda Rousey will be visiting” the event but it wasn’t confirmed whether she will be competing in a match or not. For the time being, she has been wrestling in recent house shows, occasionally like the one on June 12 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she defeated Natalya to retain her title.
Ronda Rousey Herself Wanted To Drop Title To Liv Morgan At WWE Money In The Bank 2022
Ronda Rousey was absent on WWE TV since Wrestlemania 35
Ronda Rousey returned to WWE TV after a gap of almost three years by winning the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match in January. The Baddest Woman on the Planet was last seen in the main event of WrestleMania 35 before returning where she unsuccessfully defended the RAW Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch and then-SmackDown Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair, in a “Winner Takes All” Triple Threat Match.

Becky Lynch was the one to pin Ronda Rousey and capture both the titles on that night. With her Royal Rumble win Rousey went on to challenge Charlotte Flair to a title match at WrestleMania 38, but she lost. Then she finally captured the gold at WrestleMania Backlash in an “I Quit” Match.
In the absence of recognized challengers, the new champion had to sit out of competition for some time before receiving a challenger. She was scheduled to defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Natalya at the Money in the Bank premium live event on July 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada but she eventually lost the belt to Liv Morgan.
