A massive celebration could be thrown on WWE Raw, within two weeks from now to honor a milestone in the career of the ‘biggest little man’ in professional wrestling history. Rey Mysterio is the latest WWE superstar to reach the 20-year anniversary of his career and the company is likely to celebrate the same on July 25 from Madison Square Garden in New York City.
While WWE is yet to officially announce the same, MSG’s official Twitter account released a video to promote WWE Raw taping. The video has the high-flying superstar hyping the celebration and asking fans to come together to celebrate his 20-year career. It was also revealed that he and his son Dominik Mysterio will face The Judgment Day on that night to continue the feud, that’s been ongoing for several weeks now.

As noted, Mysterio will join two more top WWE Superstars John Cena and Randy Orton who were recently recognized for their 20-year careers with the company. WWE dedicated the entire month of June to celebrating Cena. The sixteen-time world champion also appeared on the June 27 episode of WWE Raw to culminate things in a big way. A Summerslam appearance was speculated for him but that won’t be happening.

WWE Raw recently celebrated John Cena and Randy Orton
As for Randy Orton’s 20-year anniversary, the 14-time world champion had one week dedicated to his career. A celebration on WWE Raw was thrown on the show which also ended with an RKO in the main event. Orton and his RK-Bro partner Riddle teamed with Cody Rhodes and Ezekiel to defeat Kevin Owens, The Usos, and Seth Rollins in a six-man tag team match. Orton planted each of his opponents with RKOs, bringing a fitting end to the night.
There’s no update on how WWE Raw will be utilizing Rey Mysterio and his son during the MSG show. For the time being, they continue to feud with Judgment Day but none of these two teams are booked to appear at Summerslam 2022.
The MSG edition of WWE Raw will be the go-home episode for Summerslam 2022. According to PWInsider, Riddle and The Street Profits vs. WWE Undisputed Champion Roman Reigns and Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos will serve as the main event which was also confirmed by the MSG Twitter account.
WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles, Theory, and Ronda Rousey have also been confirmed to attend this red brand episode scheduled on July 25.
