Adam Gilchrist (Australia) – 408 runs

Australian opener Adam Gilchrist played a huge role for his team during their victory in the 2003 ODI World Cup. The left-handed opening batsman provided some powerful starts during that entire tournament, including in the final of that tournament against India. Gilchrist scored 408 runs in 10 matches of that tournament with an average of 40.80 and strike-rate of 105.42.
