Zaheer Khan (India) – 18 wickets

While India finished as the runners-up in the 2003 ODI World Cup, the Indian left-arm pacer Zaheer Khan showed his true class in that tournament and led the Indian bowling line-up along with the senior pacer Javagal Srinath. Zaheer finished that tournament with 18 wickets in 11 matches. His overall bowling figures in that tournament were 88.2-5-374-18 with an average of 20.77 and economy rate of 4.23.
Zaheer delivered his best bowling performance in that tournament during the Super Sixes stage game against New Zealand (at Centurion on 14th March 2003), where the left-arm pacer bagged four wickets. He finished that game with the bowling figures of 8-0-42-4. During that tournament, he only disappointed in the final, where he had the bowling figures of 7-0-67-0.
