It was the 17th game of the 2007 ODI World Cup (Group D). While Pakistan were sent to bat first, Pakistan opener Imran Nazir played a big knock before losing his wicket in the 45th over while the other Pakistan batsmen failed to reach the 40-run mark.

During that first innings, Nazir scored 160 runs off 121 balls, out of which, 104 runs came from the boundaries. The right-handed batsman smashed 14 fours and 8 sixes in that innings. His batting helped his team to manage the first innings total of 349 runs before getting all out (49.5 overs).

Later, the Asian giant bundled out Zimbabwe for just 99 runs (19.1 overs) in the rain-interrupted second innings as Pakistan won that match by 93 runs in D/L method (revised target 193 runs in 20 overs).
