Sri Lankan left-handed opening batsman Sanath Jayasuriya was very famous for his aggressive batting. So, there is no shocking point to see him in this list, especially when the Sri Lankan team finished as the runners-up in the 2007 ODI World Cup. While the left-handed batsman scored 467 runs in 11 matches (average 46.70) of that tournament, he smashed 14 sixes in that tournament.
During the Group Stage match against Bangladesh (at Port of Spain on 21st March 2007), when Jayasuriya scored his first century in that tournament (109 runs), he smashed seven sixes in that innings which were his most sixes in an innings during that tournament.
