It was the 16th game of the 2011 World Cup (Group B). After the Netherlands decided to field first, South Africa managed to score 351/5 in 50 overs. Proteas wicketkeeper-batsman AB de Villiers came to bat in that game when his team were batting on 58/2.
Along with the opener Hashim Amla, De Villiers not only put the 221 runs partnership for the third wicket, but both the batsmen also hit their respective centuries. In that innings, De Villiers scored 134 runs off just 98 balls. During that knock, the wicketkeeper-batsman scored 76 runs from the boundaries with the help of 13 fours and 4 sixes.
Later, South Africa won that match by the giant margin of 231 runs as they bundled out the Netherlands for just 120 runs (34.5 overs).
