Sachin Tendulkar (India) – 482 runs
The legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar once again played a powerful role in the big tournament. In the 2011 World Cup, the right-handed opening batsman Tendulkar scored 482 runs in nine innings with an average of 53.55. He finished as India’s most run-scorer in that tournament while his team won the trophy.
During that successful tournament, Tendulkar hit two centuries and two half-centuries. He scored both the centuries during the Group Stage matches. While the right-handed opening batsman scored 120 runs off 115 balls (10 fours and 5 sixes) against England (at Bengaluru on 27th February 2011), he also scored 111 runs off 101 balls (8 fours and 3 sixes) against South Africa (at Nagpur on 12th March 2011).
