Sachin Tendulkar (India) – 8 sixes
The legendary Indian opener Sachin Tendulkar performed outstandingly during India’s successful campaign in the 2011 World Cup. While Tendulkar finished that tournament as the second most run-scorer (482 runs), the right-handed opening batsman hit a total of eight sixes in nine matches.
However, during that tournament, Tendulkar hit sixes only in two matches, and Tendulkar scored centuries in both those Group Stage matches. During his 120 runs knock against England (at Bengaluru on 27th February 2011), Tendulkar hit five sixes. Later, he hit three sixes during the 111 runs knock against South Africa (at Nagpur on 12th March 2011).
