Rangana Herath (Sri Lanka) – 5/3 against New Zealand (at Chattogram on 31st March 2014)
It was the 30th game of the 2014 T20 World Cup (Super 10 Stage) where we saw a low-scoring encounter between Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Sri Lanka were under pressure after they were all out on 119 runs in 19.2 overs.
However, Sri Lanka still managed to win that game by a big margin of 59 runs, majorly due to the senior left-arm spinner Rangana Herath. Herath had the bowling figures of 3.3-2-3-5 as the Kiwi side was bundled out for just 60 runs, including the highest score 42 runs by the opener Kane Williamson.
During that second innings, Herath dismissed captain Brendon McCullum (0), Ross Taylor (0), James Neesham (0), Luke Ronchi (2) and Trent Boult (3).
