Alex Hales (England) – 80 runs against Sri Lanka (at Chattogram on 27th March 2014)

It was the 22nd game of the 2014 T20 World Cup which was played during the Super 10 Stage of that tournament. After Sri Lanka were sent to the bat first, the Asian side managed to score 189/4 in 20 overs.
In reply, England lost their first two wickets in the very first over of their innings without scoring a run. However, it didn’t demotivate the English opener Alex Hales as he handled the situation very well and guided the team to the incredible victory (190/4 in 19.2 overs).
Apart from putting the game-changing 152 runs partnership with Eoin Morgan for the third wicket, Hales remained not out till the end after scoring 116 runs off 64 balls. During that innings, Hales hit 11 fours and 6 sixes as he scored 80 runs from the boundaries.
