Rohit Sharma (India) – 200 runs
While India finished as the runners-up in the 2014 T20 World Cup, their opener Rohit Sharma played one important role with the bat. The right-handed batsman finished the tournament after scoring 200 runs in six innings with an average of 40.00 and strike-rate of 123.45.
During that tournament, Rohit hit two back-to-back half-centuries in the Super 10 Stage. After scoring 62 not out off 55 balls against West Indies (at Dhaka on 23rd March 2014), Rohit also scored 56 off 44 balls against the hosts Bangladesh (at Dhaka on 28th March 2014). In both those matches, India successfully chased the targets.
