- Alex Hales – 4/5
While Jason Roy is struggling with his form, the other English opener, Alex Hales is looking in a good touch. The opener had played a brilliant knock after the early loss of Roy, stitching together a match-winning 159-run partnership with Joe Root. He gave enough space for Root to take some time early on in the innings. After scoring a match-defining 95 off 86 balls, Hales got out to part-timer Sabbir Rahman in an attempt to slog sweep him into the crowd. But he did enough damage before getting out and put England in a very strong position, from where Eoin Morgan and Joe Root took care of the things.
