England went into the match with its pace quartet with the sense of some fitness issues with a couple of their bowlers. Their fears came true with Chris Woakes walking off the field after bowling just two overs.
Ben Stokes took the responsibility to complete the quota of overs and did reasonably well. He even got his side its first breakthrough in the form of Soumya Sarkar. Unfortunately, he didn’t get an opportunity to bat. He finished with figures of 7-0-42-1.
