- West Indies – 80 all out:
Life came a full circle for the men from the Caribbean, as barely six days after they humiliated Zimbabwe, it was their turn to face the music, as Sri Lanka welcomed them with similar scars at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium.
On the back of an extraordinary bowling performance from pacer Farveez Maharoof, West Indies, while batting first, were dismissed for 80, as the lanky pacer registered the best ever bowling figures in the history of the ICC Champions Trophy.
Barring the 28 from Wavell Hinds, none of the West Indian batsmen contributed in the innings. The target was chased down with exactly 220 balls to spare, as the West Indians endured some serious embarrassment.
