  1. Horrific first batting record – Yes, it is horrific for Pakistan. Pakistan has got first batting for eight times in the ICC Champions Trophy, out of which they have won only once and suffered defeats in other seven games.

The only game Pakistan have won after batting first in the ICC Champions Trophy history was against India at Centurion on 26th September 2009. Pakistan won that match by 54 runs.

Also, it is the second highest partnership for any wicket in the ICC Champions Trophy history. The highest is 252* between Shane Watson and Ricky Ponting (Australia) for the 2nd wicket against England at Centurion on 2nd October 2009.

  1. Fastest half-century – Former Pakistan batsman Shahid Afridi holds the record of the fastest half-century in ICC Champions Trophy history. Afridi had completed a half-century in just 18 balls against Netherlands at Colombo (SSC) on 21st September 2002.
