  1. Most matches – Former Sri Lankan cricketers Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara are joint-holders of the record of playing most matches in the ICC Champions Trophy history. Both of them had played 22 matches each in the ICC Champions Trophy.

  1. Highest successful chase – Sri Lanka holds the record of the highest successful chase in ICC Champions Trophy history. It was the chasing 294 runs (297/3 in 47.1 overs) against England at The Oval on 13th June 2013.

 

  1. Best bowling figure in an innings – Sri Lankan right-arm pacer Farveez Maharoof holds the record of best bowling figure in an innings in the tournament history. The bowling figure was 9.0-2-14-6 by against West Indies at Mumbai (Brabourne Stadium) on 14th October 2006.

 

  1. Most dismissals – Former Sri Lankan wicketkeeper Kumar Sangakkara is holding the record of involving most no.of dismissals in the tournament history as a wicketkeeper. He had involved in 33 dismissals (28 catches taken and 5 stumpings) in his ICC Champions Trophy career.

Out of those dismissals, 15 dismissals were in 2006 ICC Champions Trophy, which is also a record for involving most no.of dismissals as a wicketkeeper in a particular edition of the tournament.

 

  1. Most catches taken by a non-wicketkeeper – Former Sri Lankan cricketer Mahela Jayawardene had taken 15 catches in his ICC Champions Trophy career which is the most no.of catches taken in the tournament history by a non-wicketkeeper.

 

  1. Highest 3rd wicket partnership – Sri Lankan batsmen Upul Tharanga and Kumar Sangakkara had put a 165 runs partnership for the 3rd wicket against Zimbabwe at Ahmedabad on 10th October 2006. It is the highest 3rd wicket partnership for any team in the ICC Champions Trophy history.
