Australian opener David Warner played the most crucial role in the batting for his team in the 2019 ODI World Cup. He finished that tournament as the second most run-scorer by scoring 647 runs, just one run away from the most run-scorer in that tournament (648 runs by Indian opener Rohit Sharma).

Warner played his best knock in that tournament during the League Stage game against Bangladesh at Nottingham on 20th June 2019, where the left-handed batsman scored 166 runs off 147 balls, the highest individual score by a batsman in that tournament.
