Another England opener Jason Roy also played a crucial role for his national team to win the 2019 ODI World Cup trophy. In that tournament, Roy hit one century and four half-centuries. He hit the only century in that tournament during the League Stage game against Bangladesh at Cardiff on 8th June 2019, where he scored England’s highest individual score in the 2019 ODI World Cup, 153 runs off just 121 balls.

During that 153 runs knock, Roy scored 86 runs from the boundaries as he hit 14 fours and 5 sixes. While his batting helped the hosts to manage the first innings total of 386/6, Bangladesh were bowled out for 280 runs (48.5 overs).
