Eoin Morgan (England) – 22 sixes
Former Ireland cricketer and present England captain Eoin Morgan is one of the greatest batsmen in limited-overs cricket history. Morgan is the most six-hitter in England’s international cricket history as well as in the limited-overs cricket history.
In the 2019 ODI World Cup, while the left-handed batsman Morgan scored 371 runs in 10 innings with an average of 41.22, including one century and one half-century, he smashed 22 sixes. In the Cricket World Cup history, it was the second-most sixes for a batsman in an edition as the record is 26 sixes by Chris Gayle in 2015 edition.
While Morgan hit sixes in the three matches of the 2019 ODI World Cup, his best performance in this list was actually the record-breaking performance in the ODI cricket history. During the League Stage match of that tournament against Afghanistan at Manchester on 18th June 2019, Morgan hit 17 sixes (148 runs), which is also the new record of the most sixes by a batsman in ODI innings.
Morgan’s batting played an important role for his team to win their first-ever Cricket World Cup trophy.
