Omari Banks was former West Indian cricketer who came into the fame during the record run-chase of 418 by West Indies against Australia at Antigua in 2003. He played a superb knock of unbeaten 47 runs to clinch the victory and it was only his second Test match. He made the debut for West Indies in 2003, but after 2005, the all-rounder never featured for West Indies. However, he continued the domestic cricket before taking retirement in early 2012, at the age of 29 yrs. During retirement, he wanted to focus on his musical career. He played 10 Tests and 5 ODIs for West Indies.
