David Lawrence was a furious pacer whose cricket career ended with a horrific injury. When he was in the pick time of his career, his left kneecap was fractured horribly during the match against New Zealand in 1992 as he was about to bowl and fell horribly. After that, he never able to play for England, and at the age of 29-year-old, he took retirement. In 1997, he once again attempted to play in the domestic cricket but finally failed. He played only 5 Tests and 1 ODIs for England while he would certainly play more international matches if that injury had not stuck.
