Inzamam-ul-Haq – Pakistan (vs England at Faisalabad on 21st November 2005)
Former Pakistan batsman Inzamam-ul-Haq had a serious problem in the running between the wickets where he was dismissed a lot of time in his international career. But it was a rare dismissal as, in this case, there was no issue in the running between the wickets.
It was day 2 of the 2nd Test match of 3 match series between Pakistan and England at Faisalabad in late 2005. Inzamam was on strike at 109 runs and facing England pacer Steve Harmison. Inzamam played the full toss ball straight to the bowler which Harmison picked up successfully and immediately threw that to the striker’s end. It was the tough decision for the third umpire too but it was clear that Inzamam was not in the crease properly.
Finally, the third umpire gave that decision as out and Inzamam walked back to the pavilion after scoring a magnificent century. However, Inzamam could have easily entered the crease properly but he took his wicket for granted.
