The wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel lost his place in the Indian team because of tough competition. He made the Test debut at a young age of 17 in 2002 against England. He had a decent outing with the bat but with the rise of MS Dhoni in the shorter format, he lost his place.
Even after MS Dhoni is under sabbatical now, there is no chance that he might return to the team. He last donned the glove in 2018 but with the rise of Rishabha Pant as a first-choice option. He again lost his place in the team. The Gujrat cricketer constantly plays domestic cricket but has lost his place in international cricket.
