1. Dinesh Karthik:
As said “opportunity knocks the door once”, Karthik every time failed to capitalise on his second chances. Therefore, the wicketkeeper-batsman international career never took off. Also, with the rise of MS Dhoni, his career soon faded away.
However, he toiled hard in domestic cricket and first caught the eyes of selectors after scoring a string of centuries in the 2002-03 season for the Tamil Nadu Under-19 side. And, he made the debut as the 19-year old in ODI and became the centre of attraction.
As Dhoni emerged as the priority in wicketkeeping, he entered the team as the pure batsman.
Since then, he had a roller-coaster ride with a lot of ups and downs. With all those incredible skills, he could have attained the status of a legend.
