No one can deny the contributions of Yuvraj Singh for the Indian national cricket team. The all-rounder was not only a match-winner for the Indian team, but he is also an inspiration for everyone.

While Yuvraj had an international career from 2000 to 2017, including several break-downs due to various reasons, he scored 11,778 runs and also took 148 wickets in 402 international matches.

Apart from being a hero during India U19’s victory in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2000 (won the Player of the Tournament award), he was also the hero during India’s victory in the ICC World T20 2007 and ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. He won the Player of the Match award in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.

Yuvraj was even battling against cancer during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. After that tournament success, Yuvraj focused on his health and beat cancer. Soon, he started to practice and returned to the national team. However, he mostly failed to maintain consistency after that return. It was tough for him to continue his place after the horrific performance in the final of the ICC World T20 2014.

After that match, he returned to the team in January 2016, but there were not many shining performances from his bat which forced him to end his international career.
