Five Lowest Totals In IPL History 1

Kolkata Knight Riders’ 67 against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium in 2008

Kolkata Knight Riders didn’t have the best of the inaugural edition of the IPL. They stood at sixth place after winning six games out of 14. One of the biggest losses they’ve ever faced came in that season when star-studded Mumbai Indians defeated them by eight wickets.

After winning the toss, Mumbai’s Sachin Tendulkar sent KKR to bat first. They got off to a flying start before Shaun Pollock removed Salman Butt in the third over. After that, no one could stay on the pitch for long; which resulted in their debacle (for just 67 runs).

In reply, Mumbai Indians won the match in just sixth over with the help of Jayasuriya’s brilliant 17-ball 48. Shaun Pollock was adjudged the Man of the Match for magnificent figures of 3/12 in his four overs.
