Cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra seems to be overjoyed after Chennai Super Kings (CSK) CEO Kasi Viswanathan said that MS Dhoni is likely to play for franchise till 2022. Chopra said that he is ready to pay double the ticket price — to watch the former Indian cricketers if he continues playing for CSK for the coming years.

MS Dhoni has made himself unavailable for international cricket since last year’s World Cup. It’s being speculated that the wicketkeeper-batsman will not again play for India after the mega event’s disheartening end.

Also, his age is being seen as a barrier for his comeback. But he will be seen in action for the IPL franchise CSK in the upcoming edition in the UAE

Aakash Chopra, who freely keeps his opinion in his Youtube channel, is also excited to see the 39-year-old Dhoni continue playing for CSK. He feels nothing can be better to see Dhoni’s stunning captaincy and batting for CSK for more years because he doesn’t play other tournaments regularly.

“If we listen to what the CSK CEO has said, he is saying that MS Dhoni will not be with them only for now but for a long time to come and will also be seen playing. And I am very happy. I am not complaining one bit because you don’t see MS Dhoni play regularly these days, he is seen only for Chennai Super Kings,” expressing his delight, Chopra said.

“If he can continue playing for them for years to come, Dhoni never get retired. I will pay double the ticket price to watch you play. So that will be absolutely fantastic.”

Earlier, Aakash Chopra had also stated that MS Dhoni is not ‘so important’ for Team India to win the T20 World Cup 2021 at home. He expressed that India can still win the trophy in his absence.
