Babar Azam’s name is always heard whenever there is a discussion regarding the great batsmen of the modern era. Within a short period of his career, he is compared with the likes of Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson and Steve Smith for his batting. His shot selection and batting technique have been said to be similar to the Indian captain. Well, former Pakistani cricketer Aamer Sohail, in the recent interview, has said that Babar needs to improve some of its techniques to become better.
There is a fault in Babar Azam’s technique: Aamer Sohail

Aamer Sohail, who has represented Pakistan in 156 ODIs and 47 Tests, has said that there is a fault in Babar Azam’s techniques. As per him, he needs to improve his batting stance and some more areas to be dominant on bowlers. He hopes that Pakistan’s head coach Mishbah-ul-Haq identifies that foible in Babar so that he could improve.
“There is a fault in Babar Azam’s technique related to his setup and stance. His trigger movement is slightly off, which could be because he wants to avoid getting bowled or LBW, but if he can correct that he can get into a better position and dominate the bowlers even more,” said Sohail while talking on his official YouTube channel.
“I hope that Misbahul Haq would have already identified this and will do what’s necessary to fix this issue as this will make Babar an even bigger threat for the opposition,” he added.

Babar Azam, who made the debut at the international stage in 2015, has represented Pakistan in 74 ODIs, 26 Tests, and 38 T20Is so far. Last month, he was handed over the captaincy of ODIs. He was already captaining the T20I side after Sarfaraz Ahmed was dropped from the team last year.
