Alec Stewart

Former England wicket-keeper batsman Alec Stewart was undoubtedly one of the greatest wicket-keeper batsmen in England cricket history. Since the early of his cricket career, Stewart got the reputation of an aggressive batsman.
During his international career from 1989 to 2003, Stewart played 133 Tests and 170 ODIs where he scored 8,463 runs (average 39.54) and 4,677 runs (average 31.60) respectively. The right-handed batsman’s strike-rate was 48.66 in Tests, and 68.36 in ODIs. He is still the most run-scorer as an England wicketkeeper-batsman.
Stewart also led the England team in 56 international matches. His all-round quality would be a benefit for the IPL teams.
