Ajinkya Rahane featured in the unsuccessful final of ICC World T20 2014
Ajinkya Rahane has already experienced the ICC World T20 2014, ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 and ICC World T20 2016. While he played all the eight matches in the CWC 2015, he also played three games in the WT20 2014 and one game in the WT20 2016. Rahane was once even so close to fulfilling his dream as he played in the final of WT20 2014 at Dhaka, but Sri Lanka won that match by six wickets.

Due to his inconsistent performances and the tough fight with the youngsters, Ajinkya Rahane hasn’t got an opportunity in the limited-overs international cricket since February 2018. Meanwhile, his last T20I was against West Indies at Lauderhill on 28th August 2016. Though in recent times, he has come very close in India’s ODI squad selections, he has been ignored ultimately.
