Australian women’s wicketkeeper-batswoman Alyssa Healy broke many top T20I records on Wednesday (2nd October) during a T20I game against Sri Lanka Women.

It was the third and final T20I of the bilateral series between the hosts Australia Women and the visitors Sri Lanka Women at North Sydney Oval (Sydney). The hosts decided to bat first after winning the toss and managed the total of 226/2 (20 overs), thanks to the opener Alyssa Healy’s superior batting performance.

The 29-year-old right-handed wicketkeeper-batswoman Alyssa Healy scored an unbeaten 148 runs off just 61 balls. She hit 19 fours and seven sixes in that innings. Healy completed her half-century in 25 balls and completed her maiden T20I century in just 46 balls.

i) Alyssa Healy’s 46-ball century is the second-fastest century in women’s T20I history. The fastest record in this list is 38-ball century by Deandra Dottin (West Indies Women) against South Africa Women at Basseterre on 5th May 2010.

ii) Alyssa Healy is the first wicketkeeper in women’s T20I history to score a century. The previous best knock in this list was 82 by Esha Rohit (UAE Women) against China Women at Bangkok on 13th January 2019.

iii) Alyssa Healy is the highest individual run-scorer as a wicketkeeper-batter in overall T20I history (men and women). The previous record was 123 runs by Brendon McCullum (New Zealand) against Bangladesh at Pallekele on 21st September 2012.

iv) Alyssa Healy was not out on 148 runs and it is the highest individual score in women’s T20I history. The previous record was 133* by Meg Lanning (Australia Women) against England Women at Chelmsford on 26th July 2019.

v) Alyssa Healy is the fourth-highest individual run-scorer in overall T20I history (men and women).
