Two panelists have recently walked out from a TV news show after accusing the famous Indian journalist Arnab Goswami for insulting the legendary Indian cricketers Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar.

On 14 February, a suicide bomber attacked with an explosive-laden vehicle into a CRPF bus in Pulwama district (Jammu and Kashmir). More than 40 soldiers have lost their lives, and many are critically injured. The Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed carried out that attack.

While the entire world is criticising this incident, many Indians have called to end the whole relationship with Pakistan. Many Indians have protested against the India-Pakistan match in the upcoming World Cup. They have demanded that India should boycott that game. Many Indian cricket experts have also supported this protest.

Since January 2013, India and Pakistan haven’t played any bilateral series in international cricket. At present, they only meet in the ICC or ACC tournaments. According to the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup schedule, India and Pakistan will meet on 16 June at Old Trafford (Manchester).

Support over India-Pakistan World Cup match

However, some former Indian cricketers believe that India shouldn’t boycott the India-Pakistan match. They have pointed out that India will throw the crucial points if they decide to forfeit that game. Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar etc. are among those who want that India should play against Pakistan in the upcoming World Cup and dominate that game like their modern cricket. They have also pointed out that India has never lost against Pakistan in the ICC Cricket World Cup.

In the reaction, Arnab Goswami harshly criticised Sachin Tendulkar and mocked his ‘God of cricket’ status.

He told, “I don’t believe in any Gods. Sachin Tendulkar is 100 percent wrong. Sachin Tendulkar, if he has any sense, he should realise that he should be the first person to say that don’t play with Pakistan.”

Later, two panelists, political analyst Sudheendra Kulkarni and former AAP leader Ashutosh decided to walk out the show. Both have slammed the journalist for insulting the Indian cricket legends.

Sudheendra Kulkarni said about that, “You are calling Sachin Tendulkar anti-national. You call Sunil Gavaskar anti-national. I am ashamed of you.”

Later, Sudheendra Kulkarni once again slammed him through a post on his Twitter account. He also criticised him for practising “tukde tukde” line in the present situation.

On the other hand, social media users have blasted on Arnab Goswami for insulting Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar.
