In fact, it is not going to be a walk in the park for India to defend their Asia Cup title. They will not have the services of the full-time skipper Virat Kohli. Therefore, Kohli’s absence is going to leave a big void in the side, as Kohli is the nucleus of the Indian batting. Subsequently, India’s limited overs deputy Rohit Sharma is going to lead in the forthcoming Asia Cup.

Rohit has time and again led Men in Blue whenever Virat Kohli has been rested. Meanwhile, India’s batting will under the scanner in the absence of Virat Kohli. Thus, the onus is going to be on Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan who has done the bulk of the scoring in 50-overs format.
