Asia Cup 2018: Russel Arnold Predicts Sri Lanka Will Make the Final

Former Sri Lankan batsman Russel Arnold believes the Island nation will make the final of the forthcoming Asia Cup 2018. In fact, Sri Lanka isn’t in the best of forms as they recently lost a series at home while playing against South Africa by 3-2. Therefore, the Angelo Mathews led side will have to bring their best to challenge the other teams.
Sri Lanka is in group B of Asia Cup 2018. In fact, they will be playing the opener of the tournament against Bangladesh on 15 September. Sri Lanka will play their second match against Afghanistan on 17 September.
On the other hand, India, Pakistan and Hong Kong constitute Group B of the tournament. India will begin their Asia Cup campaign on 18 September against Hong Kong. The defending champions will lock horns with arch-rivals Pakistan on 19 September.
After the conclusion of the group stages, there will be six matches in the Super four stage. The final of the competition will take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on 28 September.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka is one of the most successful teams in the Asia Cup folklore. The Island nation has gone on to win the tournament on five occasions. Thus, Sri Lanka has done well in the competition and Russel Arnold hopes they will continue to do so.
Russel Arnold commented on ESPN Cricinfo post which asked the fans, that who will go through to the Super four and Final of the Asia Cup. The former left-hander said Sri Lanka will definitely make the last four as well as the final of the competition.
