The experienced India duo Jasprit Bumrah and KL Rahul are expected to be fully fit ahead of the Asia Cup 2023 in Pakistan and Sri Lanka followed by the all-important ODI World Cup at home. The duo has missed out on the majority of the 2023 season due to the injury but is working to put their best foot forward to be fit for the marquee event in the country after 12 long years.

According to the reports in the Indian Express, if everything goes according to plan, Indian stalwarts Bumrah and Rahul will be available for selection for the Asia Cup set to be played in September, which will give them good match practice going into the mega event in October-November.

The experience of the players will be handy for the Indian team going into the World Cup. This is good news for the Indian team fans, especially when it comes to important events like the Asia Cup 2023 and the World Cup 2023 coming up.

It was earlier reported that Jasprit Bumrah is expected to be back in the Indian colours in the T20 series against Ireland starting in August to get fully fit for the big events. The Right arm pacer has been India’s best bowler across all three formats since his debut for the Men in Blue in International Cricket, he is expected to be a vital player for the Indian team.

Jasprit Bumrah hasn’t played cricket since the T20Is against Australia in September of last year. The Speedster’s availability will be crucial for Indian Team in the ODI World Cup 2023, India’s team failed to win a single ICC trophy in the last ten years, despite doing well in the league stage, failing on the important knockout games in the marquee events.

Former India’s vice-captain KL Rahul’s career has been marred by injuries and it will take some time for him to regain his full fitness after being injured during the Royal Challengers Bangalore game in the IPL 2023. The Karnataka batter has got better experience playing in different positions for the Indian team.

In the ODI format, KL Rahul’s batting has helped the Indian team to play four frontline batters at the top of the orders as he plays the role of the finisher alongside Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja in the lower order down the order.

Indian middle order batter Shreyas Iyer is likely to miss out on the Asia Cup 2023, with the troubled back injury as the Men in Blue will look to groom Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju Samson as the backup for the KKR skipper for the upcoming big events.
