David Warner continued his dream run in 2014 as he notched up the second century of the match and set it up for an exciting finish. This was Warner’s 8th century in last 11 Tests and his century in the second innings also made him the 5th man ever to score twin centuries in a Test twice in a year.
In the third session of the fourth day, Warner led the Australian attack alongwith with the stylish Steven Smith before getting out to Karn Sharma. He scored 102 off 166 balls. In came-in Mitchell Marsh and he too continued the attack as he smashed the leggie Karn Sharma of 24 runs in an over. Marsh scored a quick-fire 40 before falling to Rohit Sharma. Steven Smith also played his part to the best as he scored 52 off 64 balls.
Australia ended the day on 290/5 with a lead of 363 runs and it looks most likely that Australia will declare overnight and India will have to bat really well to prevent another overseas loss.
