David Warner, Aaron Finch, ICC World Cup

Rain and the mid-innings break stymied Australia’s quest to go 1-0 up in the series but forgetting that event, Australia will hope to put the right foot forward at Manuka Oval in Canberra. Rain in Sydney forced an early end to Pakistan’s batting and they scored 107 after 15 overs.

Coming in to bat, Australia were asked to chase 119 from 15 overs. They got a brilliant start as Aaron finch smashed 37* off 16 to drive Australia to 41 in 3.1 overs but the rain came back to washout the match.

A play of 11 more balls would have seen a result being computed out but that wasn’t the case. Finch did express his frustration after the washout but he couldn’t do much.

With a dominating performance in the first T20I, Australia did put Pakistan under pressure and the Men in Green will have the tough task in the second T20I.

Conditions –

Again, the conditions aren’t known much but the batsmen will dominate the proceedings here. Expect likes of Aaron Finch, David Warner, Babar Azam to score big.

Injury update and availability –

All the players are available for selection. Australia are likely to go in with the same playing XI but it is likely that Mohammad Hasnain will replace Mohammad Irfan in Pakistan’s playing XI. Playing his first T20I after three years and a half years, Irfan went for 31 runs in two overs.

The match will start at 1:40 PM.

Here is the likely playing XI of both the teams –

Australia: David Warner, Aaron Finch, Steven Smith, Ben McDermott, Ashton Turner, Alex Carey, Ashton Agar, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Kane Richardson, Adam Zampa

Pakistan: Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Sohail, Mohammad Rizwan, Asif Ali, Imad Wasim, Iftikhar Ahmed, Wahab Riaz, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Amir.
