Bangladesh got a big blow after Shakib's injury 1

Bangladesh cricket team got a big blow just ahead of the final of 2016 Asia Cup T20 as their one of the most dependable player and vice-captain Shakib-Al-Hasan got an injury in the training session on Friday.

During the training session on Friday, Shakib was hit by a delivery in his left thigh region. Immediately he was seen putting ice-pack on that place. He was also hopping slightly after that blow and looked in pain. The injury is commonly known as “left hip-flex injury”.

Saturday was the optional practice for Bangladesh cricket where Shakib tried to practice but failed due to feeling pain at there.

Bangladesh Team physio Bayjedul Islam spoke out on Shakib’s injury on Saturday, “Shakib has sustained a hip-flex injury after being hit by a delivery during yesterday’s net session. These injuries in common language can be termed as thigh-muscle injury. These are known as ‘conditional injuries’, which normally heals in 48 hours. Today during option practice, he felt the pain again and didn’t practice much. But we are hoping that he will play tomorrow.”

The tense are rising after the physio talked about medication (a drug or other form of medicine that is used to treat or prevent disease).

He said, “Medication can be taken but it may or may not work for a particular individual. Let us hope and pray that he will be okay without any need for medication.”

However, it will be decided just before the toss whether he will be able to play the match or not.

Bangladesh will face India in the final of 2016 Asia Cup T20 on Sunday evening at Mirpur, Dhaka. Bangladesh had never won Asia Cup before while they reached in the final of this tournament for the 2nd time. Previously, Bangladesh had reached in the final of 2012 Asia Cup but lost against Pakistan by just 2 runs.
