The Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of the best T20 leagues in the cricket world where both the top-class batsmen and bowlers have shown their dominance. There are many cricketers who have scored centuries in the IPL tournament.
Even, 12 players have hit more than one century in the IPL career. Among them, eight players have recorded their IPL centuries for two different teams.
Here we are talking about the batsmen who hit at least one IPL century for two different teams
Adam Gilchrist (Deccan Chargers and Kings XI Punjab)
Former Australian wicket-keeper batsman Adam Gilchrist became the first batsman in the IPL history to hit at least one century for two different franchises. In the inaugural IPL season (2008), when he was serving for the Deccan Chargers (DC), the left-handed opening batsman smashed a 42-ball century against Mumbai Indians (MI) at Mumbai (27th April 2008). His 109 not out off 47 balls (9 fours and 10 sixes) helped his team to win that match by ten wickets as they successfully chased down the 155 runs target in just 12 overs.
In the IPL 2011, when Gilchrist was leading the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), he hit his second and last IPL century during the Dharamsala match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on 17th May 2011. This time he scored a 53-ball century as his 106 runs off 55 balls (8 fours and 9 sixes) helped his side to score 232/2 (20 overs) in the first batting. The KXIP won that match by 111 runs as the RCB were bowled out for just 121 runs (17 overs).
