Former Australian cricketer Ricky Ponting was one of the greatest right-handed batsmen and successful captains. Under his captaincy, Australia achieved many great successes, including winning two ICC Cricket World Cup trophies (2003 and 2007) and became the only second captain to win two CWC trophies. As a batsman, he was very consistent in most of the cricket world.

Playing from 1995 to 2012, Ponting (Australia/ICC World XI) scored 27483 international runs in 560 matches (668 innings) with an average of 71 centuries and 146 half-centuries. He is currently the third most run-scorer in international cricket history. The right-handed batsman faced 40130 balls during his international career.
