The death overs are crucial for any team. The bowler has to bowl in the right areas with accuracy to halt the batsman to score extra runs. On the other hand, the batsman tries to hit as many boundaries in the death overs to get the team to fighting total or guide them to victory.
On that note, here, in this article, we have discussed six batsmen who scored the most number of runs in last five overs in IPL:
6. Yusuf Pathan:
The allrounder Yusuf Pathan had a promising start of his career. His attacking batting and spin bowling gave him instant fame but soon he disappeared from the international scene. However, he was the regular feature in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since the inaugural edition of the league.
Pathan has played for Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad. His one of the memorable knocks was 21-ball 40 in the IPL semi-final in 2012 to help Knight Riders to their maiden final and eventually their first title. He was also once holding the fastest IPL century.
Being a finisher, Pathan has scored 1131 runs in 705 balls with 56 fours and 96 sixes in the last 5 overs of the IPL. In total, he has played 174 IPL matches and scored 3204 runs.
