The Pulwama terrorist attack has disheartened the whole Indians. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released their statement on this matter.
On Thursday (14 February), a suicide bomber attacked with an explosive-laden vehicle into a CRPF bus in Pulwama district (Jammu and Kashmir). More than 40 soldiers have lost their lives, and many are critically injured. The Pakistan-based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed carried out that attack.
The whole world has condemned on that coward incident. Many active and former Indian cricketers have also cried out over that incident and came out to support the Indian soldiers. Later, the BCCI acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary came out with the statement on behalf of BCCI over the Pulwama attack issue.
The BCCI has the heartfelt condolences to the CRPF Jawans who lost their lives in that Pulwama terrorist attack. They called that incident as the dastardly incident.
Amitabh Choudhary told the media, “The BCCI would like to officially condole the tragic incident. In which, we are told, 44 lives were lost for the sake of protection of the country. So, we condole that. The BCCI condoles the dastardly incident engineered by the forces from beyond India.”

BCCI announced the squads for upcoming Australia series
On Friday, the BCCI also announced the limited-overs squads for the upcoming home series against Australia. The host side India will play the two-match T20I series and subsequently five-match ODI series against Australia from 24 February to 13 March. In the ODI series, the pacer Siddarth Kaul will play the first two ODIs while Bhuvneshwar Kumar will replace him for the next three ODIs of the series.
Also, KL Rahul has made his comeback in the national squad, both in T20I and ODI squads. Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik has missed out the entire ODI squad for the forthcoming ODI series. After this series, India’s next assignment will be the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
England and Wales will host the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup from 30 May to 14 July. The two-time World Cup champion India will begin their World Cup journey on 5 June against South Africa at Southampton.
