The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to donate INR 51 crore to the Prime Minister Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund. The fund will be used to save the lives of the people from the deadly coronavirus, which has affected 987 people in India so far.

The deadly virus is spreading at a rapid speed, and the cases have now risen to 6,63,928 and have taken the lives of 30,880 people worldwide. However, the numbers are not stopping and are increasing with every hour passes by.

To curb the spread of the virus, PM Modi has announced the lockdown of the entire country amid the pandemic. The lockdown will surely affect the lives of thousands of people, especially daily wagers who depend on others to earn money. Now, they don’t have the source to earn money as the major businesses have been closed. To give them aid and provide the equipment to treat the patient, the money donated by BCCI will surely help.
