South Africa (SA) chased down the target of 259 runs in the 2nd T20I against West Indies (WI), while SA leg spinner, Tabraiz Shamsi after the match replied to veteran Proteas cricketer, Vernon Philander’s tweet that bowlers performed well in the game to keep the visitors down for 258 mark.
former SA pacer, Philander in his tweet congratulated batters for clean hitting while mentioning that surface was the bowler’s nightmare. While in the game Shamsi bowled two overs and gave 33 runs in the 2nd T20I against WI.

Where in the match, West Indies batted brilliantly to post 258 runs their highest total in T20s, with Johnson Charles scoring the fastest century by West Indian in International cricket.While home side made a flying start to score 62 runs in just 3 overs and they went on to stitch an opening partnership of 152 runs which eventually helped them to achieve the epic chase against West Indies.
Quinton de Kock scored a second fastest century in T20 by South Africa and Reeza Hendricks played brilliantly to score 68 runs off just 22 balls, which allowed the middle-order batters to get to the historic win for the proteas.

SA chased down an unbelievable 259 to beat West Indies by six wickets with 7 balls to spare, with South Africa winning the 2nd T20 the series is levelled 1-1, with the deciding and final T20. Earlier on the 1st T20, Rovman Powell (43* off 18) smashed the Proteas’ attack in the first T20 as the West Indies chase down their target of 132 with three balls to spare.
After the match, Caribbean skipper, Rovman Powell praised the African side’s openers for their terrific knock in the second T20, chasing the record total in T20, South Africa looked positive throughout the innings and Powell also admitted that they missed crucial moments in the game, and will try to make a comeback in the 3rd T20.
