While the Indian team is focusing on the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020, the former T20 WC-winning captain MS Dhoni is in the centre stage of the talk. Former Australian leg-spinner Brad Hogg has recently revealed his opinion on Dhoni’s possibility to feature in the upcoming T20 WC.
In Indian cricket history, MS Dhoni is one of the greatest players. The 38-year-old is a top-class batsman with mastery level finisher, a smart wicketkeeper, an experienced and successful leader. After making his international debut in December 2004, Dhoni has served tirelessly for his country till July 2019, the semi-final of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

After the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Dhoni hasn’t played a cricket match yet. There is also no confirmation about his future in international cricket.
However, it is only confirmed that Dhoni will feature in the IPL 2020 where he will lead Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as usual. Many believe that Dhoni’s performances during the IPL 2020 can decide his fate on his availability for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020.

The original schedule of the IPL 2020 was from 29th March to 24th May 2020. But due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, this edition has been postponed till 15th April 2020.
But, observing the current situation, there is no assurance for the IPL 2020. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is trying their best to organise the IPL 2020 even in the late period.
Sadly I think not: Brad Hogg on MS Dhoni’s chance to play in the upcoming T20 WC
In the meantime, Brad Hogg feels it will be a lesser chance to see Dhoni in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 due to the delay of IPL 2020. According to him, while Dhoni has a lower chance to get enough time to prepare for the Australian condition, the wicketkeeper-batsman is likely going to miss the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020.

Pending IPL performances, but sadly I think not, due to lack of international exposure lately & IPL he is playing the majority of games in Chennai (if it goes ahead) which is suited for spin not pace, the conditions he will get in Australia. #hoggytime #IPLT20 https://t.co/KBRJQMOBhF
