Former Australian left-arm spinner Brad Hogg has recently revealed the top six batsmen in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history who gave him a hard time. However, the two successful Indian cricketers, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni were not on this list.
Many countries are struggling to battle against COVID-19 or coronavirus, which is dominating the present world. Like the other sports, cricket has also been affected amid coronavirus outbreak as many matches have already been postponed for an indefinite period. Many countries are going through the lockdown process to beat the chain of this virus system.
In this leisure period, many cricketers are regularly engaging with fans through social media sites. Many of the cricketers are revealing their favourite cricketers in various aspects. Brad Hogg has now revealed his top six batsmen in the IPL history who gave him a hard time.

Brad Hogg named three Indians in the list of his top six batsmen in the IPL history who gave him a hard time
At first, Hogg named the Caribbean cricketer Kieron Pollard. According to him, Pollard has the power to stand and hit him straight with absolute authority if the ball doesn’t turn.

Hogg then named the Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik. Though Karthik hasn’t huge power in batting, Hogg was mostly scared with his impressive sweep and reverse-sweep shots. Hogg praised him for finding the gaps due to his ability to play various kinds of shots. Even, if he bowled him a little bit shorter to stop him from the sweep shot or coming down the wicket, Karthik was even strong in the backfoot.

The Indian star opener Rohit Sharma was his next choice on this list. Hogg simply called him a very good thinker of the game for his ability to drive the ball perfectly through the limited gaps.

Hogg named the Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell in the next position. The former left-arm spinner feels that Maxwell liked to take on him from the first ball of the game, mostly through the strong reverse-sweep or hitting on top of his head after coming down the wicket. Among these six choices, Maxwell was the only batsman (out of the batsmen who faced Hogg) who never lost the wicket against Hogg in T20 cricket.

Surprisingly, Hogg also took the name of the Indian young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant in this list despite he never bowled him in T20 cricket. The former Australian cricketer praised his ability to play all kinds of aggressive shots with dominant footwork.

The Caribbean star cricketer Chris Gayle was the last man in this list. While Hogg felt little comfortable to bowl him in the mandatory powerplay for his approach to taking time in the initial period, he always feared to bowl him in the post-powerplay section due to his powerful batting abilities.

Brad Hogg clarified why he didn’t take the names of Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni

Later, a fan asked him why he didn’t put the names of the two other superior Indian batsmen, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. Hogg has clarified that he took the six names according to his feeling of hardest to set a field along with his huge worries to bowl.
Interesting the list I put out, but I can only go with who played with my mind, hardest to set a field to and worried me at the top of my mark. https://t.co/ONQic19iH8
