Brad Hogg Reveals Who Is Present Best Ambassador For The Game Of Cricket
The 49-year-old former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg has recently revealed his choice for the best ODI captain in the present day. He also called him the best ambassador for the game.
In most of his international career, Brad Hogg played under the leadership of Ricky Ponting, one of the most successful captains in international cricket history. Ponting-led Australia won the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003 as well as 2007, and Hogg played an important role in both those tournaments.
Kane Williamson is Brad Hogg’s best ODI captain
Recently, during a Q&A session on the Twitter account, Hogg was asked his best captain in the ODI cricket. He named the New Zealand captain Kane Williamson. Hogg has also added that Williamson is the best ambassador for cricket in the present day.

At present, some successful ODI captains are active in cricket. Less than a year ago, English captain Eoin Morgan inspired the team to win their first-ever Cricket World Cup (won ICC Cricket World Cup 2019).
After MS Dhoni stepped down from the captaincy, Virat Kohli has taken the leadership role of the national team, and he is also handling it successfully. Though India haven’t won any tournaments under Kohli’s captaincy yet, they have performed consistently, and also achieved some great successes even outside the Asian soil.
On the other hand, Aaron Finch has taken Australia’s limited-overs captaincy during their crisis period of the team but handled the team superbly and inspired them to get back into their familiar character.
But Hogg has picked up Kane Williamson as his best ODI captain. Though some may have different views on this choice, many believe that the present Kiwi captain holds the best image for the game.
Williamson has been praised hugely after the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 final where New Zealand suffered a heart-breaking defeat against England due to the peculiar ICC Super-Over rules. Many have openly claimed that it wasn’t the right decision, and later that controversial rules have been changed. However, the Kiwi captain Williamson remains totally in control and inspires his team to follow the spirit of the game, although they deserve better result.
